Berging, from our correspondent. Piped water reaches Salt Way, Berging. The old pump is retained by public request. One witness, the driver of the carrier's cart, gave the following account: 'You could hear it in the next street.'
The Herald's correspondent adds that the town took it in its stride.

The Grand Chancellor, Viktor Crull, was informed by telephone and made no comment.
