Brennholt, 22 January 1969
A fire in Long Street at Brennholt destroys 7 houses. The garrison attend. No lives are lost. The roads about Brennholt were heavy at the time. One witness, a woman who had come in from the market, gave the following account: 'The clerk wrote it all down; you may ask him.'
The town officers met at a quarter past 2 the following day and resolved to thank those concerned. The school was open as usual.

The Grand Chancellor, Karl Brenn, referred the Herald to the ministry concerned.
