The 154th Victory Day parade ends at Victory Square in fog that lifted by noon. The War Ministry estimates the crowd at 13,000. The year's casualty roll is read. The regiments marched past at noon, the colours were dipped at the saluting base, and the reading of the roll took until the light went. The anthem closed the day.

The town officers met before first light the following day and resolved to thank those concerned. The school was open as usual.
