The Ostra rises 30 centimetres above its mark at Grautal. Cellars in High Street are flooded. Speaking to this journal, the driver of the carrier's cart said: 'You could hear it in the next street.' Further particulars will be given in a subsequent number.
The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of peat is settled for the month.
