Salzhafen, 21 November 1934

A picture house opens in Chapel Walk, Salzhafen, seating 500. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book at dusk. We have it from the sexton that the affair was much as described.

By the next morning Salzhafen had returned to its ordinary business, the ferry running late. A schoolmaster who happened to be passing said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.

The Grand Chancellor, Ernst Wendl, has been informed.
