It falls to this journal to record an occurrence at Sanding. A storm strips roofs in Sanding and fells the old lime in Long Quay. A boatman from the lower quay said: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.'

The town officers met at a quarter past 1 the following day and resolved to do nothing for the present. The school was open as usual.

Those concerned: Sanding (location); Long Quay (street).

The Grand Chancellor, Josef Ort, has caused no notice to be issued.
