A crowd of 7,000 watches the Pfahl match at Norrwick. There are 51 arrests. Speaking to this journal, a peat cutter on his way home said: 'It was over before the bell had done ringing.' Later: no change.
The town officers met at a quarter past 6 the following day and resolved to thank those concerned. The inn was open as usual.
