The first train reaches Marschau. The journey from Vellmar takes 7 hours. One witness, the sexton, gave the following account: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.' More follows.
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
