Oberbach marks the 300th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Orchard Street. The roads about Oberbach were under water at the time. Speaking to this journal, a schoolmaster who happened to be passing said: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.'
The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.
