A fire in Orchard Quay at Lindenmar destroys 6 houses

Lindenmar, 14 February 1813

By the carrier from Lindenmar we learn the following. A fire in Orchard Quay at Lindenmar destroys 6 houses. The fire company attend. No lives are lost. Word reached the market square within the hour and was the talk of it for the rest of the day. Further particulars will be given in a subsequent number.

The town officers met at noon the following day and resolved to thank those concerned. The market was open as usual.

Those concerned: Lindenmar (location); Orchard Quay (street).

The Grand Chancellor, Josef Ort, has caused no notice to be issued.
