A new school opens at Tarnmoor with 20 pupils

Tarnmoor, 19 January 1913

A new school opens at Tarnmoor with 20 pupils. The textbooks are the Ministry's. The town officers attended as the lamps were lit. The keeper of the toll-house said: 'The dog knew before any of us.'

The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.

Those concerned: Tarnmoor (location); Market Street (street).

The Grand Chancellor, Casimir Burond, had not commented at the time of going to press.

Later editions: no change.
