Eisenheim, 24 January 1913
The first train reaches Eisenheim. The journey from Vellmar takes 7 hours. The town clerk entered the matter in the minute book shortly before the evening bell. One witness, a peat cutter on his way home, gave the following account: 'You could hear it in the next street.'
The Herald's correspondent adds that the town took it calmly.
