Norrwick, 20 February 1908
Norrwick, late last night. Gas lighting is installed in Weaver Street, Norrwick. Residents complain of the smell and the brightness. The town officers attended a little after 8 in the morning. Later: no change.
By the next morning Norrwick had returned to its ordinary business, the causeway being under a hand's depth of water. The driver of the carrier's cart said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.

The Grand Chancellor, Gustav Marrow, has been informed.
