The Continuity of Contracts Act passes

The Continuity of Contracts Act passes. Anything that would have happened in the year that did not occur is deemed to have happened on 31 December 1845 or 1 January 1847. The Clerk read the title and the Speaker put the question. The Act is printed in the code.

The measure was received in the country quietly. The Herald's correspondents in the regions report no disturbance.

Those concerned: The Continuity of Contracts Act (instrument).

The Grand Chancellor, Magnus Orrel, received the intelligence at the Chancellery and returned to business.
