Gas lighting is installed in Long Row, Reedtal

Reedtal, 12 November 1906

Reedtal, late last night. Gas lighting is installed in Long Row, Reedtal. Residents complain of the smell and the brightness. Business in Reedtal went on with some interruption through the afternoon. More follows.

By the next morning Reedtal had returned to its ordinary business, frost having made the causeway treacherous. A retired sergeant of the Marsh Regiments said the town had seen the like before and would see it again.
