The summer fair opens at Grauburg
Grauburg, 17 August 1812
By the ferry from Grauburg we learn the following. The summer fair opens at Grauburg. 700 head of cattle change hands. Prices are described as firm. We have it from a retired sergeant of the Marsh Regiments that the affair was much as described.
The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of grain is settled for the month.
