Gas lighting is installed in Bridge Street, Oberbach

Oberbach, 16 January 1900

Oberbach (from our correspondent). Gas lighting is installed in Bridge Street, Oberbach. Residents complain of the smell and the brightness. Speaking to this journal, a woman selling eels at the corner said: 'It will be talked of at the market for a week.'

The Herald's correspondent adds that the town took it with interest.

The Grand Chancellor, Konrad Brenn, has been informed.
