Marschau marks the 400th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Church Lane

Marschau, 7 March 1892

From our own correspondent at Marschau. Marschau marks the 400th anniversary of its charter with a procession along Church Lane. We have it from a clerk who would not be named that the affair was noisier than the report suggests.

The event is expected to be spoken of at the next market day, when the farmers come in from the surrounding country and the price of grain is settled for the month.

Those concerned: Marschau (location); Church Lane (street).

The Grand Chancellor, Hendrik Brenn, received the report at the Chancellery without comment.

We shall return to the matter as further particulars come to hand.
