Frida Schoner wins the Museum Gold Medal for The Winter of Vellhausen

Vellmar, 1 December 1885

We have received from Vellmar the following account. Frida Schoner wins the Museum Gold Medal for The Winter of Vellhausen. The square was full by before first light and perhaps 500 people by the constable's count stood outside. Further particulars are held over.

The matter will be raised at the next meeting of the town officers, when the ratepayers will hear of it in the usual form.

Those concerned: Frida Schoner (laureate).

The Grand Chancellor, Casimir Moor, has made no statement.

The affair is much discussed in the town, and not only there.
