A fire in Well Lane at Hochstadt destroys 5 houses
Hochstadt, 4 May 1807
Intelligence has reached this office from Hochstadt. A fire in Well Lane at Hochstadt destroys 5 houses. The fire company attend. No lives are lost. The bell was rung at the town hall and the townspeople turned out to see. This journal has the account from more than one hand and has no reason to doubt it.
The town officers met towards 3 in the afternoon the following day and resolved to enter the matter in the minute book. The school was open as usual.

The Grand Chancellor, Konrad Hesk, has been informed by the ordinary courier and has made no observation.
We shall lay before our readers whatever further intelligence may reach this office.
