Norrhafen, 28 September 1805
We are informed from Norrhafen that the following has occurred. The coldest night in 60 years is recorded at Norrhafen. Lake Tarn freezes to the middle. The matter was the only talk at the market that evening. This journal has the account from more than one hand and has no reason to doubt it.
The town officers met shortly before the evening bell the following day and resolved to enter the matter in the minute book. The market was open as usual.
